Pediatric First Aid CPR AED (EMSA Approved) Classes in Sacramento
We all hope that we will not have to perform first aid or CPR on children. No one wants to think about children being so badly injured that they need emergency medical assistance. But if you are a licensed child care provider, foster parent, or anybody with the requirement for EMSA approved Pediatric First Aid with CPR and AED certification, you have to be ready to protect your children no matter what happens. And if you work with kids all day, you already know how accident prone they are.
A rambunctious child could find a way to injure him or herself in a completely padded room. You do everything you can to prevent serious injuries and medical emergencies, but then you also need to be prepared to handle medical emergencies if and when they happen.
If you have taken an adult CPR or first aid class, you need a separate set of knowledge for how to do CPR or first aid on children. CPR especially has a different protocol than for adults, because children’s bones are softer and their bodies are smaller. You cannot put as much pressure on a child’s chest as you can on an adult’’s. If you are ever in a position where you need to be able to give CPR to a child, you definitely need to have already taken our child care emergency medical training class.
At NorCal Emergency Medical Training, our goal is to give you excellent information and training in classes that are affordable and convenient for you. Check out our course schedule for our classes in Sacramento, Roseville, and Rancho Cordova, and sign up to register your spot today!
