OSHA Approved CPR & First Aid Training Classes Sacramento

This classroom, video-based, Instructor-led course is designed for anyone with limited or no medical training who needs a course completion card in First Aid, CPR AED to meet job (OSHA), regulatory or other requirements such as for Coaching or General Knowledge.  This certification training course teaches participants critical skills and knowledge needed to respond to and manage an emergency in the first few minutes until emergency medical services (EMS) takes over.

At NorCal Emergency Medical Training, we offer CPR, First Aid, and AED classes for people who have to have these certifications for their jobs. Even if you do not have to have the certification for your employment, these are very good skills to have. Medical emergencies are by definition unexpected, which means that you never know when someone might go into cardiac arrest, choke, or have some other medical emergency that you can help with.

Studies have shown over and over again that patient outcomes are significantly improved when someone with CPR, AED, or First Aid training is able to assist the patient while waiting for emergency medical services to arrive. In the case of a victim who does not have a pulse, performing CPR is essential for preventing or minimizing brain damage, or even for keeping the victim from dying. If the brain goes without blood for too long, there can be irreparable brain damage. CPR helps to keep the blood circulating so that the brain still receives some oxygen. In the few minutes that it takes an ambulance to arrive, CPR can make the difference between life and death.

In medical emergencies, it is easy to freeze and to not be able to think clearly. Many bystanders will even forget that they have phones in their pockets which they could use to call 911. With emergency medical training from NorCal Emergency Medical Training, you will be able to know what to do to help someone who is having a medical emergency. We practice all the skills we teach you so that you will be able to let muscle memory take over. You won’t have to think back and try to remember what we told you to do in any given situation, because we will train you so that your reactions are engrained as automatic responses. Don’t let the fight, flight, or freeze response cause someone to die. Let us teach you how to save lives and help people who are in medical emergencies.
